Provincial Development
Raduga (Russian for “rainbow”) came out shining in Verkhneketsky municipal area. Raduga is a new 25-meter-long swimming pool with four lap lanes and fitness hall. Constriction of this facility took two years; however, residents of our taiga-covered region waited for its opening far longer than that, as Verkhneketsky municipal area has had no fitness center over its entire 75-year history.
Sport Requires Team Spirit
On January 23 we gave awards to Tomsk Region sports elite, our record-breakers, outstanding coaches, sports veterans, judges, sporting journalists and benefactors. It is remarkable that we held this event several days before the start of the world’s most important competition, the XXII Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Security Issues are Under Control
Tomsk Police summed up the results of 2013 performance: our regional police administration leads the pack in Siberian Federal District in terms of key performance indicators.
