Amount of Investments into Residents of Tomsk Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Reaches 20 bln Rubles in 15 Years

The main directions of activity for the residents of Tomsk SEZ are – IT-technologies and electronics, biotechnologies and medicine, nanotechnologies and new materials, resource saving technologies.  In its annual reviews, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation evaluates the activity of SEZ “Tomsk” as effective.

Many sizeable Russian and international companies are the clients of the residents, and their products are exported to 158 countries.  The volume of their exports since 2006 has surpassed 4.3 bln. rubles.

 More than 100 companies have become residents of SEZ “Tomsk”.  Total volume of earnings made in 15 years has surpassed 24 bln. rubles, and the volume of investments has exceeded 20 bln.  In these years, the residents have paid more than 3.1 bln rubles in taxes to budgets of all levels.

Since 2006, roads and utility systems have been built here, as well as three administrative and business centers and engineering infrastructure facilities totaling more than 50 thousand square meters.

Within the framework of the SEZ development concept, the Pushkin street junction has been modernized, and Tomsk airport “Bogashevo” has received international status.

Financed by private investment, 55 thousand square meters of premises have been constructed in the SEZ, where the residents realize their projects.

An accelerator program is launching starting 2021, on the territory of the SEZ, which should become the point of attraction      for startups as well as a regional “Skolkovo” site.
