Tomsk Oblast Has Retained the Position of a Strong Innovator in the Rating of AIR

Tomsk Oblast retained fourth place and the status of a "strong innovator" in the new ranking of innovative regions of Russia. The Association of Innovative Regions of Russia rating was presented at the Gaidar Forum in Moscow.

Moscow, Novosibirsk, Kaluga and Nizhny Novgorod regions are following the Tomsk Oblast. The experts of the association also attributed to the group "strong innovators".

The Association of Innovative Regions of Russia was established in 2010 in Tomsk. It includes 14 subjects of the Federation: the Republic of Bashkortostan, Mordovia, and Tatarstan, Altai, Krasnoyarsk and Perm Territories, Irkutsk, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Novosibirsk, Samara, Tomsk, Tyumen, and Ulyanovsk Regions. The AIRR Supervisory Board is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov.
