On October 15, representatives of the Moscow U.S. Embassy Andrew Krause, professional associate in economic affairs and Miguel Hernandez, commercial attaché – visited the Tomsk Special Economic Zone with a goal to learn about investment and entrepreneurship opportunities in Tomsk Oblast. The visitors were especially interested in local IT and communications companies.
Summing up the visit, head of the SEZ residents management department Aleksander Osadchenko said, “We agreed that our guests will carry the information on the investment opportunities in Tomsk Oblast to the US business. The Tomsk SEZ offers attractive cost efficient localization opportunities for large foreign companies. We provide land and lease ready-made buildings to residents for the implementation of their innovative projects. Also, only Tomsk offers an integrated chain of continuous generation of innovative projects by developing specialists in its universities, who are capable of resolving high-end technology problems. This has been confirmed by successful projects of the existing residents.”
Andrew Krause and Miguel Hernandez promised to help in finding partners and distribution markets for innovative companies of Tomsk.
The US delegation was introduced to the residents who are implementing joint investment projects with foreign investors such as MainConcept DivX, CenteraSoft, MOJE Keramik-Implantate, and to projects that are already selling worldwide such as Elecard Devices and Elcom +.
Andrew Krause and Miguel Hernandez spoke highly of the possibilities offered by the Tomsk SEZ and prospects for joint investment projects.
