The Agency RIA Rating published its annual rating of life quality among Russian regions. The Tomsk Region with a final rating score of 43,64 points, held 30th position, rising 4 points higher as compared to last year.
“Statistical data were used for drawing up such rating, therefore it is objective and is not an estimation, - Andrey Antonov, Deputy Governor for Economics noted. - In addition to improving the final position of our region, it is important that in the group “the level of economic development” the region moved from 28th to 22nd place over the year, thus improving such parameters as the volume of the gross regional product (GRP) per capita, the share of profitable enterprises and others”.
The Tomsk Region demonstrated the highest results in the group of parameters “Health and education”, having taken the fifth place in Russia (the first among the regions of the Siberian Federal District). In the “safety of living” group the region is on the sixth place in the country (the best position in the Siberian Federal District as well).
The Tomsk Region is one of the top twenty in the groups of parameters “availability of social infrastructure facilities” (19th place) and “The demographic situation” (18th place). The lowest scores were given to the region in the groups “Territory and transport infrastructure development” (78th place) and “Environmental and climatic conditions” (71st place).
