Tomsk Region power sector to get investments of 4.2 billion rubles

Russian largest public power company Inter RAO UES has plans to invest over 4.2 billion rubles in an integrated energy saving and energy efficiency investment program to be implemented by Tomsk Region in 2013-2017.
The program includes, among other jobs, installation of LED lighting systems at production facilities, modernization of technical equipment and reconstruction of heat networks.
The task set for all companies of the holding is to reduce fuel consumption. Energy Without Borders Fund will provide necessary resources. The Fund provides funding for R&D efforts in developing energy saving solutions. Currently, it is working on a number of projects with the Tomsk Polytechnic University.
Inter RAO UES Group is a Russian producer and supplier of electric and heat energy to the domestic, CIS and European markets. OAO Inter RAO UES has a Novosibirsk-based subsidiary OAO TGK-11 created on the basis of assets of Tomskenergo and Omskenergo.
