Tomsk Region foreign trade turnover doubled

Over the three quarters of 2012 the foreign trade turnover of Tomsk Region totaled 811.2m dollars. Compared to the same period in 2011, both exports and imports have doubled.
According to the Department of International and Regional Relations, CIS countries account for 18% and non-CIS countries for 82% of the region's foreign trade turnover. Key export items are inorganic chemistry products, rough timber and Siberian pine nuts. They are exported to 10 CIS countries and 43 non-CIS countries.
The region imports goods from 47 non-CIS and 8 CIS countries. Kazakhstan, China and Germany have the biggest trade turnover with Tomsk Region.
