Interregional folk music festival to take place in the Tomsk region
Over 30 folk groups from Krasnoyarsky and Altaisky Krai, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Tomsk regions will perform at Avangard Folk Art Cultural Center (20 Bela Kun st.) on September 26-28 at Interregional Folk Contest Festival called Once upon a time in the Tomsk Gubernia.
Folk groups and singers will give ritual performances, musical and dance sketches along with songs that reflect peculiarities and local traditions of the local peoples culture.
The jury that will include masters from Moscow, Barnaul, Novosibirsk and Tomsk will assess acting skills, program complexity and ingenuity, correspondence of performance style to the national tradition and actors toggery.
An exhibition contest of the modern Siberian decorative and applied arts masters called Siberian Palette will become one the events within the Interregional Folk Contest Festival and will be held in Regional Arts Museum.

The Interregional Folk Contest Festival "Once upon a time in Tomsk Gubernia" is held within a Federal dedicated programme "Culture of Russia 2012-2018".
