Tomsk higher educational institutions presented their educational potential in China
Study in Tomsk the four leading Tomsk institutes (Tomsk State University (TGU), Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), Tomsk State Architecture and Construction University (TGASU), and University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR) were presented at Educational Fair "China Education EXPO" in Beijing.
The main objective of the mission was attraction of a larger number of Chinese students into Tomsk institutes, development of relations and search for new partners among leading institutes of China.
Within the educational mission the representatives of Tomsk administration, TGU and TPU met Lu Jung, Rector of Shenyang Polytechnic University, and discussed the prospects of cooperation. In particular, they discussed the data exchange, exchange of lecturers and scientists, creation of joint research laboratories, realization of "2+2" and "4+1" programs in the natural science and technical areas.
Tomsk delegation also met Jung Haobo, Deputy Head of Higher Education Department of Liaoning Province. The parties exchanged information on the status of hinger education in two regions and discussed the possibility of opening the Russian-Chinese University in Liaoning province.
In the Consulate General in Shenyang the representatives of Tomsk universities told about educational potential of the region and discussed peculiarities of documents formalization in China. Under Consulate support people from TGASU had a meeting with Shenyang Construction University.
A meeting with the heads of Dalian Polytechnic University was also planned within the visit to China.
