Building materials industry

The building materials industry of Tomsk Oblast specializes on manufacture of building brick, precast concrete structures and products, heat insulating materials, extraction of nonmetallic building materials (sand, clay, sand-gravel aggregate).

The annual output of brick is more than 100 million pieces, ceramic tile – more than 150 thousand m², precast concrete structures and products – nearby 500 thousand m³.

Achievements

• The 2^nd place among regions of Siberian Federal District on extraction of sand-gravel aggregates –  887 thousand m³ (2006).
• The 3^d place among regions of Siberian Federal District on construction volumes for 1 thousand inhabitants (2007).
• The 3^d place among regions of Siberian Federal District on growth rates of production of precast concrete structures and products (2005-2006).
• The 3^d place on growth rates of commissioning buildings of inhabited and uninhabited purpose (2005-2006) Siberian Federal District.

Business

• LLC “Large-Panel House-Building Plant of Tomsk House-Building Company”.
  Is in the TOP-10 largest manufacturers of concrete panels and precast structures for panel house-building. The plant produces more than 50 % of all Tomsk Oblast’s concrete.
• JSC “Plant GBK-100”.
  One of the leading Russian manufacturers of concrete products with the annual volume of the output more than 170 thousand m³.
• JSC “Tomsk Navigable Company”.
  The largest company in Siberia on extraction of nonmetallic materials; included in the TOP-10 leading manufacturers of sand-gravel aggregates in Russia.
• JSC “Kopylovo Ceramic Plant”.
  The leading enterprise of Tomsk Oblast in the output of building and facing brick and tile.
• “Tugansk Ore Mining and Processing Industrial Complex “Ilmenite”.
  The enterprise was created in 2002 for industrial development of Tugansk deposit of ilmenite-zirconium sands – production of ilmenite, zirconium concentrate, fine-grained quartz sand.

Tomsk Oblast Administration has preliminary coordinated a number of projects on complex building development of the territory before 2015 with the total area of 4,5 million m².
